Skullcandy announces their first truly wireless earbuds

With smartphones slowly removing the headphone jack causing more and more users to go wireless, there are companies out there making true wireless headphones to help you out. The audio company Skullcandy is the latest and have announced their first truly wireless headset.

The Skullcandy Push, as they’re called, have two large buttons on the sides letting you answer calls, change songs or skip videos, and control the volume. With the built-in microphone, you are able to activate your phone’s assistant and start any task such as starting a phone call or sending out a message.

According to the product page, the battery life totals up to 12 hours: six hours of playback with the earbuds and six extra hours from the cradle. The earbuds also come with Skullcandy’s Secure FitFin gels that are designed to comfortably fit in any ear that won’t fall out. The earbud piece will sit in your ear, while the “FitFin” will rest inside the curve of your ear. This is, of course, similar to Jaybird or JBL or companies who use wings to offer better support for their headphones.

We spend hundreds of hours designing, testing and perfecting every Skullcandy product in our Park City, Utah headquarters. But our engineers aren’t your typical corporate lab-coat-wearing technicians. They’re people who love music. They live for adventure. And they know what it’s like to work on the go. Probably a lot like you.

If you are interested in purchasing these truly wireless earbuds from Skullcandy, they are being sold exclusively at Target for $129.99USD. There is only one color, “Psychotropical Teal,” being offered at this time. Loss of an earbud is a huge concern with true wireless earbuds. If you do end up losing an earbud or the charging cradle, you can contact Skullcandy and they will offer a replacement for $49 under their “Fearless Use Promise” program.
