The future of augmented reality hasn’t really been solidified, at least in our opinion. There are still many things that need to be worked out for the technology to become fully mainstream. But, there are companies who are chipping away at it and Dreamworld AR is one of them. The company is launching a Kickstarter campaign for its new DreamGlass Air.
The DreamGlass Air wants to be your own personal AR theater that fits on your head. It features a 2.5K resolution and 90-degree field of view, which is equivalent to 100” screens at 1.5 meters, or 200” screens at 3 meters. DreamGlass Air is also flexible in that it works with people with and without regular eyeglasses, and it can project any media on mobile phones, pads, PC, Mac, drones and game consoles into one or more 100” AR screens. The bright AR screen is both immersive and private, so nobody can peek in. At the same time, you can still see the outside, to have awareness of your surroundings for safety reasons.
We want to make AR technology truly accessible to consumers. Consumers care about three things: Price, Content, and Privacy. By dropping the price to $269 and making the device compatible with almost any digital platform in private, we believe we have achieved that goal.

These projects are always interesting to see, we’ve personally not tried many AR glasses in the past and we’re hoping to have a review unit of these at some point. You can back this project on Kickstarter if you wish and get DreamGlass Air at US$269 or the family combo at a discount of 50%.
We’ve recently heard about several that we’ve written about that have failed or are having issues. Our reporting on crowdfunding campaigns does not mean we support or are affiliated with them. Support at your own risk.
